Speaker last night said his first prayers when he got sober was simply “please” and “thank you”. And he talked of forgiving murderers, rapists, and child molesters, because they are victims too. If we can operate spiritually at that level with compassion in our daily lives, then we are truly in communion with God.
I just finished watching Heather Headley sing “Your Song” to Sir Elton John; I always think how wonderful that his life is his music – his life is his song. My life is my song – I hope that when it is replayed it will be remembered as a love song.
this is an extremely important aspect of AA, I mean if no one ever showed love or happiness to newcomers, or anybody for that matter, who would want it?
